• Entertainment will be featured at Windward Beach Park in Brick as part of their SummerFest 2003 concert series. The Community Band will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. On July 17, Al Martino & His 15 Piece Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. On July 24, The Dubs will perform at 7 p.m., and Bill Haley’s Comets will perform at 8:30 p.m. On July 26, there will be a "Movie in the Park" at dusk. On July 31, the Harptones will perform at 7 p.m., and the Crests will perform at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 5 will be a celebration of "National Night Out Against Crime," and "National Kids Day," at 6 p.m. On Aug. 7, Chuck Mangione will perform at 7:30 p.m. On Aug. 11, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a Community Band concert.

• A "Managing Your Life Savings" seminar, presented by Mike Mazza, will be held at the Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, July 17, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call (732) 477-4513 to register.

• A "Boating Safety Course" will be conducted July 19, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brick Civic Center, Chambers Bridge Road, Brick. This one-day US Coast Guard Auxiliary Authorized course satisfies the state requirement for a boating and personal watercraft certificate. Cost is $45 for materials. • "Draw Manga!" will be presented at the Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, July 22 at 11:30 a.m. Best-selling author and artist, Christopher Hart, will be demonstrating the "Art of Drawing Manga." • Helping Hands of Ocean and Monmouth counties is seeking mature volunteers to assist children with special needs and their families. The volunteers provide social and emotional support to the families through weekly visits.
