Philharmonic concert features patriotic tunes
The Garden State Philharmonic will host a free outdoor concert on July 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Johnson Park, Jackson Township.
The orchestra salutes the summertime with a family program that includes the "Star-Spangled Banner," "American Salute," "Star-Spangled Spectacular" and much more.
The concert is part of the Jackson Township Concerts Under the Stars Series. The concert is also sponsored in part by funding from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders and donations from the community.

Chamber reprises ‘Dream Dollars Raffle’
The Brick Township Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation will again sponsor its "Dream Dollars Raffle." The raffle gives individuals opportunities to make their own dreams and the dreams of local students come true, by raising money to fund scholarships.
The raffle is limited to 200 tickets, which are $100 each, with a grand prize of $10,000 based on the sale of all tickets. "Shares" of a ticket, among groups of friends or co-workers, is also allowed.
The raffle drawing will be on August 28 at SummerFest, Windward Beach Park. The raffle has been a sellout in recent years, and those who are interested are urged to call and reserve a ticket.
For more information on tickets, call the Brick Township Chamber of Commerce at (732) 477-4949.
