Manasquan Coast Guard station open for tours

There will be an open house at the Coast Guard Station at Manasquan Inlet on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is the one day a year when the station is open to the public. Admission is free and families and children are welcome.

There will be tours of the historic sta­tion building and Coast Guard boats, in­cluding the all-weather Motor Life Boat and the super-fast S.A.F.E. boat. Additional attractions will include a tour of the station’s nautical library, an exhibit of the maritime heritage of the New Jersey Shore, and displays presented by the Point Pleasant Dive Rescue Team. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will present various dis­plays on boating safety.

NJAWBO dinner meeting rescheduled for July 31

The Monmouth/Ocean chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Busi­ness Owners (NJAWBO) dinner meeting aboard the Captain Call II, originally scheduled for July 24, has been resched­uled for July 31, due to the poor weather forecast.

Boarding will begin at 6 p.m. at the Belmar Marina, and departure will be at 7 p.m. The cost is $30 for NJAWBO mem­bers and non-members. To make reserva­tions, call Chrissy Reinhard at (732) 528-1172.
