Program to offer ‘home alone’ tips to children The Center for Kids & Family at Community Medical Center’s Cory Building, 599 Highway 37 west, Toms River, will present a latch-key program called "Home Alone," Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The three-hour course is designed for children ages 8 to 13. Participants will learn what to do if they are home alone and receive a hang-up call, or how to handle a stranger at the door. In addition, topics such as basic safety tips as well as first aid, fire safety and handling emergency situations in the home will be presented.
