Business Briefs

The Shore Professional Business Association, an organization dedicated to helping the community and whose members represent all professions in the Ocean County area, will host its second annual "Charity Auction Dinner Dance" to raise money for the benefit of the Breast Center of Ocean County. It will take place Sept. 25 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Mansion on the Plaza, Brick.

All money raised will be donated to the Breast Center of Ocean County, a new facility located in Ocean Medical Center. The center is dedicated to the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. The money will be donated to the center in the name of Joanne Donnelly who passed away March 6, 2003, as a result of breast cancer. Donnelly was the sister of the Shore Professional Business Association’s member and secretary, Joseph Bilotta, of Acropolis Bilotta Associates, Toms River.

Donations of items to be auctioned are being sought; call (732) 785-9411 to donate. Those who wish to attend the event, place an advertisement in the ad journal, or make a donation may visit www.BFSAuctioneers.com or call(732) 286-3000.

Diane Turton, Realtors recently partnered with Ellen Boyle, a recognized expert in residential real estate sales, marketing and promotion, to offer comprehensive training programs to the company’s sales associates. The real estate firm believes that new and seasoned sales associates need to continuously improve their customer service skills and develop new selling techniques.

A group of more than 45 sales associates recently completed the first offering of Boyle’s intensive 8-week course. The training is designed to increase agent/office productivity, raise the level of professionalism within the industry, increase team building and strengthen relationships between agents and managers as well as develop highly-effective work habits, self confidence and an inspiration to succeed. The course will be presented again in October to a new group of sales agents.

Boyle has been a full-time, top-producing Realtor for more than 17 years, selling more than 100 homes annually. In 1997 she was named director of training for a well-known, distinguished real estate firm with more than 500 agents.

Diane Turton, Realtors’ Sales Associates from the Brick office that recently graduated from Ellen Boyle’s training include: Liz Ciancia, Arleen Giglio, Edward Noxon and Tina Polhemus.
