Family Health Center receives donation

Medical Center of Ocean County’s Family Health Center received a donation of pharmacy gift cards from the Christos A. Kaiafas Foundation. The gift cards will help provide prescription medication to patients in need.

Christos A. Kaiafas was a member of the Brick community and a former Brick Township High School student and athlete who died Oct. 7, 1998. In his memory, a scholarship fund was created. The scholarship is given each year to a student-athlete deserving of the award.

This year the scholarship fund reached and exceeded its goal. With the remaining funds, the scholarship fund committee has donated $1500 in pharmacy gift cards to Medical Center of Ocean County’s Family Health Center.
