The lazy days of lounging poolside ended early for the Brick Township High School Marching Dragon Band, which began summer practice camp Aug. 18. The group has plenty of tunes ironed out for upcoming field show performances during football games and competitions.

The Marching Dragons will host their ninth annual Musicfest Band Competition, sanctioned under the United States Scholastic Band Association, on Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. The Marching Dragons will have some tough competition, as 10 other New Jersey high school bands are scheduled to compete.
