      St. Dominic’s School remembers 9/11

Sept. 11 was a time for honoring those who lost their lives on 9/11. At St. Dominic’s School, the students and faculty gathered by grade around the flagpole and raised their hands in prayer as the flag was lowered to half staff. Father Brady, pastor, and Mrs. Carol Bathmann, principal, spoke words of comfort to all those present.

Miss Eileen Fagan, assistant principal, lost her sister, Patricia Fagan, on that tragic day. She shared with us her sister’s rosary beads that were found at the site as a symbol of hope and renewal. The choir sang and played the bells as the students and faculty stopped to remember.

The community of St. Dominic’s School offers their heartfelt sympathies and prayers, not only for the victims of 9/11, but for the families who mourn their passing.
