Men sought to volunteer as chefs for charity

Family Planning Center of Ocean County, Lakewood, is seeking men to contribute their time and culinary skills for the "12th Annual Look Who’s Cooking" fund-raiser, June 11, at the Christ Episcopal Church, Washington Street, Toms River. The proceeds from the event will benefit uninsured and underinsured women.

Last year 52 amateur chefs, including doctors, lawyers, accountants, business owners, and government officials, offered a sample of their favorite recipe to more than 250 guests. More than $15,000 was raised for women’s health issues, including cancer screenings and educational counseling.

Those interested in "stepping up to the plate" with their favorite recipes may call Della Hullings at (732) 364-9696, ext. 109, by March 30, to register as a chef.
