Business Briefs The Bacchus School of Wine is offering tours of its new facility located on Route 37 west in Toms River. Tours will be done by appointment only. Visitors can see how wine is bottled, corked and labeled during bottling season, which is presently taking place. In addition to wine making, wine tasting parties are also offered at the facility for small family gatherings or large business galas. Wine tasting parties include a video on the art of wine making along with a description and tasting of three to six different wines. Antipasta and other Italian favorites may be ordered to enjoy with the wine. Preorders are presently being accepted for grapes to be used during the approaching wine making season. Among the activities planned for the day are a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Joseph Scarpelli at 10 a.m. Special incentives will be offered on mailbox rentals, boxes for moving and storage, packaging supplies and document services. In addition to shipping through UPS and other carriers, The UPS Store location will offer a variety of products and services aimed at helping customers save time, including full-service packaging, mailbox and postal services, black-and-white and color copying, document finishing and office and packaging supplies. Call (732) 505-6033 to register. Nina Anuario of Jackson has been chosen to serve as the grand marshal for this year’s Ocean County Columbus Day parade scheduled for Oct. 10. Anuario is a vice president at OceanFirst Bank. She serves on the board of directors as treasurer for the Friends of Navy Lakehurst and is an active member of the Advisory Board for the Jersey Shore Council of the Boy Scouts of America. She has served on the board of Ocean County Foundation for Vocational Education for a number of years. Anuario is also a past president of the Ocean County Bankers Association and the Toms River Ocean County Chamber of Commerce. She continues to serve on the chamber’s board of directors and is co-chair of the annual golf committee and chairs the budget committee as well. She also chairs the Ocean County College Foundation golf committee. She is a past Board of Director for ADACO (Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council of Ocean Inc.), vice chairwoman of PIC (Private Industry Council) of Ocean County and the Workforce Investment Board in addition to being president of the Board for Ocean County Vocational Technical School. Anuario’s selection as grand marshal was celebrated at the annual Grand Marshal Dinner Dance held June 18 at the Crystal Point Yacht Club, Point Pleasant. Coast Boating School, Toms River, has announced that the certification of its 25,000th student took place May 5. The company has been in business for 17 years. The school offers more than 180 boating classes scheduled throughout the state to accommodate individuals in need of New Jersey State boating certifications. Eagle Ridge Golf Club, Lakewood, formally opened its new Grand Ballroom and expanded clubhouse May 22 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Grand Ballroom, which is decorated in an Old World style, features views of the 18th green. Present at the ribbon cutting were Jan Kokes, and Jerry Kokes of the Kokes Organization, owners of the club; Jeff Mead, director of membership and marketing; Thom Sweeney; Sen. Robert Singer, who cut the ribbon with Mayor Raymond Coles of Lakewood; Doug Earle, CFO of the Kokes Organization; Lisa Wielgomas, catering director and Michael Attara, operations manager. The event was followed by a community open house and tours of the expanded clubhouse facilities.
