The Jersey Intensity‚ a U12 Fastpitch Softball team, recently went to the Pony Nationals in Sterling, Va. The Intensity or as they are known‚ Team Green‚ had a strong showing at the Nationals, placing 35th out of over 80 teams, and were one win away from the top 20. The team is made up of girls from Monmouth and Ocean counties. Although Team Green was a first-year team, they won several tournaments and competed against many of the top teams in the area, and by seasons end proved to be one of the top teams. The Jersey Intensity organization (run by Kevin O’Donnell) is based out of Howell and is an Elite Fastpitch Softball program with teams from U10 to U18. Team Green is comprised of Ashley Sogluizzo (Middletown), Kiera McCabe (Hazlet), Chrissy Deleto, Alexa Baldasarre and Kelsey Mazur (Sayreville), Jennifer Hughes (Tinton Falls), Samantha Lowes (Manasquan), Lauren Richards (Perrineville), Alyssa Ellerson (Allentown), Renee Panter (Brick) along with guest players Taylor Germaine, and Jessica Long (Howell). The team is managed by John Sogluizzo, and coached by Don Deleto and John McCabe.

Final registration for the Jackson Roller Hockey League’s fall season. will be held Friday, Sept. 10 at the Municipal Building. Registration will be held from 6-9 p.m.

Fees include jersey, and are $125 per skater, $110 for sibling and a family rate (3 or more) of $275. USA Hockey registration fee of $25 for membership (not included in league fees), and a refundable $25 fund-raising fee.
