Laurelton Art Society’s annual spring exhibit
The Laurelton Art Society (LAS) is currently presenting its annual juried spring show at the Brick Cultural Arts Center, 515 Herbertsville Road. The exhibit will run throughout the month of April and will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information on the exhibit or the following enrichment programs, call Lynne Salisbury, president of the LAS, at (732) 886-3337. • April 10, 1 to 2:30 p.m., “Solving Problems in Watercolor” - Pauline Mickle will demonstrate techniques in watercolor painting. • April 17, 1-2:30 p.m., “History of Ocean County Art” - Joanne Zezula will speak and give a slide presentation of the work of county artists from 1850 to the present. • April 20, 7 p.m., “Walt Whitman” - a presentation by Bob Anstett. • April 24, 1-2:30 p.m., “Working with Garden Flowers” - members of the Brick Garden Club will demonstrate the use of color and shapes to enhance backyard gardens. New members are welcome to join the Garden Club.
