Ocean County 2005 Pregnant Pause May 6
In celebration of Mother’s Day, the Epilepsy Foundation – Shore Office, Brick, wants to deliver a message to mothers-to-be: “Don’t drink or smoke, be substance free - do it for your baby.” To help spread the word, the foundation will host Ocean County 2005 Pregnant Pause on May 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ocean County Mall, Toms River. Musical play at St. Paul’s Church in Brick May 7-8
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 714 Herbertsville Road, Brick, will present “The Great Artrageous Adventure,” a musical play by Steven Curtis Chapman May 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. The youth choir will perform the show about high school students who are caught in a black-out in an art museum. A free offering will be taken. All are invited to attend. One-man band performs weekly at Brick VFW
The Peter Lieberman Band, a one-man band, performs every Thursday from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 8867, 373 Adamston Road, Brick. Music styles include the waltz, fox-trot, rumba, swing, samba, tango, cha-cha, mambo, merengue, freestyle, line dances and mixers. Couples and singles are welcome. Details: (732) 477-7979. Event to raise funds for Animal Birth Control
A benefit to raise money for Animal Birth Control’s (ABC) spay/neuter fund will be held May 6 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Yakety Yak CafĂ©, 408 The Boulevard, Seaside Heights.
