      Justin McGrath, of Brick Township and Seton Hall University, assisted a goal but the Maryland Ambassadors beat the Jersey Shore Boca U20 team in a United States Adult Soccer Association region championship semifinal game at Manalapan on Sunday. Earlier in the tournament, McGrath fired in a goal in a 3-1 victory over Morris United for Boca, which plays in the Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League.

      Brick Township’s Original Football and Cheerleading Program, endorsed by Fred Sprengel and Warren Wolf , will be holding a late registration on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Brick VFW Post 5698 located at 150 Duchess Lane, off Jordan Road in Brick. There are no weight restrictions whatsoever at any age. NFL Flag Football and Cheerleading for ages 5-7 and Tackle Football ages 8-14. Players may reside anywhere in Brick or the league even accepts a small percentage of players from the surrounding communities. Bring a copy of birth certificate at time of registration.
