Nancy Carol Mincey Mrs. Mincey, 40, of Farmingdale, died Dec. 16 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Brick before moving to Farmingdale five years ago. A 1984 graduate of Madison Central High School, Old Bridge, she was an associate for Wal-Mart for seven years and had most recently worked at the store in Neptune. Mrs. Mincey was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor and Clifford Adkins. Surviving are three daughters, Sheila and Sarah Mincey, and Josie Lynn Colonna, all at home; two sons, Samuel Mincey, also at home, and Pfc. David Mincey, U.S. Marine Corps, Marine Corps Air Station New River in North Carolina; two brothers, Robert and Clifford; four sisters, JoAnn, Susann, Elinor and Christina; her partner of 14 years, Andrew Colonna of Wall Township; four nieces; four nephews; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Interment was private.
Mary C. Cerro Mrs. Cerro, 90, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 4 in Claremont Center, Point Pleasant. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; two sons, Angelo and Joseph; and a son-in-law, Michael Silvocka. Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Perez of East Brunswick, Carmella Silvocka of Brick and Theresa Baxter of Point Pleasant; a son, John Cerro of Brick; a brother, Rocco Vitale of Montreal; three sisters, Palma Poce, Josephine Camplone and Ann Farham, all of Montreal; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 100, Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0552. Gerald Vincent Henwood Mr. Henwood, 71, of Marlboro, died Dec. 8 at home. Born in Queens, N.Y., he had lived in Edgewater before moving to Marlboro in 1969. Mr. Henwood was ordained a deacon of the Roman Catholic Church on May 17, 1980. He served as deacon at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro; St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township; and St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. He was predeceased by a son, John Joseph Henwood, in 1983; and a brother, Richard Henwood. Mr. Henwood is survived by his wife of 49 years, Virginia Mary Henwood; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Lynne Henwood of Long Valley; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Michael Griswold of Carmel, Ind., Dianne and Michael Torri of Jackson, Claire and Gary Gellman of Plumsted, Mary Henwood of South Brunswick, and Amy and John Kostyz of Brick; three brothers, John, James and Harold Henwood; a sister, Florence Corcoran; and 14 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catharine’s Church, followed by interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Stephen’s Fund, c/o Office of the Diaconate, P.O.
