Free class for parents of special children
Parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents with a brain disorder are invited to attend “Visions for Tomorrow,” a free eight-week class sponsored by NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), of Ocean County of Ocean County. The program offers support, education, opportunities for advocacy, friendship and hope. They address the issues that arise from having in the family a young person who has one or more brain disorders, such as: Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, autism, anxiety disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, childhood onset schizophrenia, conduct disorder and oppositional defiant disorder.
