Kiwanis Club to meet Jan. 19

The Brick Township Kiwanis Club will meet Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6:45 p.m. at Tuscany Restaurant and Bar, 1490 Route 88 west, Brick. The Brick Kiwanis Club is the local chapter of Kiwanis International, an organization dedicated to community service and raising funds for charitable causes. New members are welcome. Girl Scouts of Ocean County cookie sale begins

The Girl Scouts of Ocean County will begin taking orders for the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale Jan. 20. Approximately 5,000 Brownie, Junior and teen Girl Scouts in the area will be taking orders for eight kinds of cookies, including the new Café Cookie, a gourmet-style cookie caramelized with brown sugar.

Delivery of cookies will begin the last week of February.
