Raffle to benefit Monsignor Donovan graduate

Lorelei Totino, owner of ExcellenSEA Cruises, has announced a cruise raffle to benefit James MacConchie, a 2005 graduate of Monsignor Donovan High School (MDHS), Toms River. MacConchie was diagnosed earlier this year with stage 4 Ewing's sarcoma.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to a fund created at the high school to support the MacConchie family.

Each ticket costs $10. The winner will receive a cruise for four on the Norwegian Cruise Line's Spirit, sailing from New York on Aug. 27. The itinerary includes stops at Port Canaveral, Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau. The winning ticket will be drawn May 11 at the annual "Mr. MonDon Pageant," which will begin at 7 p.m. in the school's Gepp Gymnasium. The winner need not be present to win.

Those interested in purchasing tickets may call (732) 864-0377. Checks can be mailed to ExcellenSEA Cruises, 2168 Chapel Court, Toms River 08753. All checks must be made payable to MDHS - James MacConchie Fund. Anyone sending a check in the mail must include his or her return address so the ticket can be mailed back to the purchaser.

The cruise is valued at $2,100 and the prize does not include transportation to and from the port in New York.
