Bids awarded for DPW equipment

The Township Council approved the purchase of two road utility trucks and deicing equipment at the July 25 council meeting.

Cambria Automotive, Edison, was awarded the bid for the vehicles, which came in at $83,614 for each truck, according to the resolution.

Reed System, Ellenville, N.Y., was awarded a two-year contract for the township's liquid de-icing supplies. The bid includes the de-icing agent at 84 cents a gallon, purchase and installation of prewetting systems and 20-, 40-, 80-, 100- and 130-gallon tanks that total $17,811. The unit bid price is not to exceed $150,000, according to the resolution.
