Agnes G. Lee Geiger

Mrs. Geiger, 72, of Hazlet, died Oct. 24, 2006, at Laurelton Village Care Center, Brick. Born in Jersey City, she resided there and with her daughter in Howell before moving to Hazlet 30 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Mrs. Geiger was predeceased by her husband, Arthur H. Geiger, in 1999. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Diane Geiger of Hazlet; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Thomas Korkowski of Howell; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, with interment at the church's cemetery. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

John Menth

Mr. Menth, 68, of North Fort Myers, Fla., died Nov. 16, 2006, at home. Born in Newark, he lived in Howell for 30 years before moving to Florida 13 years ago. He was a truck driver for Gulf Oil, Linden, and Apac, Fort Myers, Fla., before retiring in 2003. He was a communicant of St. Veronica's Roman Catholic Church, Howell. Mr. Menth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving in Germany, and with American land forces in Lebanon in 1958. He was a paratrooper and member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a life member of the American Legion, Howell, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374, Freehold. Mr. Menth was predeceased by two sons, Craig and John. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary; his children, Valerie Natoli of Little Egg Harbor, Kathleen DePietro of New Egypt, Brian Menth of Toms River, Joseph Harmazinski of Ocean Grove and Jacquelyn Menth of Mays Landing; three sisters, Patricia Green of Harrison, Pauline Torres of Tampa, Fla., and Diane Rankel of Jackson; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro.

Robert B. Cushman

Mr. Cushman, 89, of Hazlet, died Nov. 16, 2006, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Acushnet, Mass., he resided in Tinton Falls, Brick and Middletown prior to moving to Hazlet seven years ago. He served with the U.S. Army for 30 years during World War II and Korean War, and retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8867, Bricktown. He was predeceased by his wife, Edna in 1988. He is survived by a son, Robert Cushman of Hazlet; a daughter, Elizabeth Cushman of Toms River; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment will be Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. at Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. Arrangements are by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Abe Broitman

Abe Broitman, 86, of Marlboro, died Nov. 20, 2006, at Madison Center, Old Bridge. Born in Russia, Mr. Broitman lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Marlboro 19 years ago. He was a veteran of WWII Army Air Force serving as an Aviation Cadet. Prior to retiring in 1988, he was the owner of Abe's Fruits and Vegetables, Brooklyn for more than 45 years. Mr. Broitman was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post, Marlboro. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Liebman; two sons, Gary and his wife Catherine of Howell, and Richard and his wife Ellen of Plainview, N.Y.; a sister, Edith Evenitsky and her husband Jack of Tamarac, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Donations to your favorite charity can be made in his memory. Arrangements were under the direction of the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave., Manalapan.
