Obituaries Clara Hern Costa Mrs. Costa, 96, of Old Bridge, died March 8 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Victor Costa, died in 1974. Surviving are three nieces, Elizabeth Perry of Old Bridge, Kathryn Dudik of Brick and Rose Jarvis of Long Island, N.Y. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
Patricia Stewart Mrs. Stewart, 79, of Middletown, died March 18 at home. Born in Hackney, England, she resided in Brick Township, prior to moving to Middletown six years ago. She was a seamstress at Town Fabrics, Toms River, for 15 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Naval Fleet Reserve Association, Lakehurst. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Stewart in 1997. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sheridan and Mary Stewart of Monmouth Beach; a daughter, Sharon Rider of Flemington; five grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Burial as at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Sea Girt. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Pasquale R. Maiorano Mr. Maiorano, 63, of Hudson, Fla., died March 12 in Hudson. Born in Chester, Pa., he resided in Matawan for 28 years, and Brick for five years, prior to moving to Hudson. He was a principal highway inspector for the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, retiring after 39 years. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; a son, Anthony of Brownsville; a sister, Frances Hefferman of Essington, Pa.; and three grandchildren. A memorial service was at Church of the Visitation, Brick.
Rose Troina Mrs. Troina, 71, of Lakewood, died March 5 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Newark, she had resided in Brick, Seaside Park and North Arlington before moving to Lakewood. She held several positions as an office manager in Monmouth and Ocean counties for more than 30 years, most recently as an office manager for New Jersey Diagnostic Imaging, Toms River, for eight years. Mrs. Troina is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael W. and Kimberly Goione of Fair Haven, Steven R. and Terri Lynn Goione of Wilmington, N.C., and Christopher J. and Diane M. Goione of Colts Neck; a brother, Vincent F. Troina of New Jersey; three sisters, Maria T. Rapp and Eleanor T. Wyrich, both of Florida, and Barbara T. Christiansen of Maryland; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to Save Barnegat Bay, 906-B Grand Central Ave. (Route 35 north), Lavallette 08735.
