Fire Prevention Poster Contest winners

The Brick Township Bureau of Fire Safety and the Brick Township Fire Departments recently announced the winners in the 2006 Fire Prevention Poster Contest. This year’s theme is “Prevent Cooking Fires – Watch What You Heat.”

More than 500 posters were received from local schools. The posters from all the divisions (except nursery) will go on to the county judging scheduled for April 15. The winners will go on to the state judging scheduled for May 15.

Division 1B, first and second grades:

First place: Amanda Wolff, Lanes Mill School

Second place: Jessica Erdelyi, Lanes Mill School

Third place: Autumn Linke, Lanes Mill School

Division 2 , third through fifth grade:

First place: Brielle Thoms, Veterans Memorial Elementary School

Second place: Allison Baer, Osbornville School

Third place: Cynthia Suarez, Lanes Mill School

Division 3, sixth through eighth grade:

First place: Thomas Downs, Lake Riviera Middle School

Second place: Chelsea Downey, Lake Riviera Middle School

Third place: Kathelyn Merola, Lake Riviera Middle School

Division 4, ninth through 12th grade:

First place: Jamie Raymundo, Laurelton School

Second place: Jennifer Archer, Laurelton School

Division 6:

First place: AmberLee Wojeik, Lanes Mill School

Second place: Haley Heulitt, Lanes Mill School

Third place: Joseph Vecchio, Lanes Mill School

Honorable mention: Joseph Valenti, Lanes Mill School
