Parent praises cooperation

As a parent of a child who attended the holiday dance on Dec. 1 at the Brick High School, I want to thank everyone who was involved in putting this great time together for the kids.

The Pals Club under the direction of Dr. Vicari-Appleheimer made all these students feel so special. The entertainment by Greased Lightning was wonderful and all the work the members of the club did to put this dance together was really nice. Thank you, too, to Mr. Filippone for your support to this club.

They also put on a great prom for our challenged community last May, and without the support of the staff at Brick High School this would not have been possible. The best thing about this was that both Brick High School and Brick Memorial students came together for this special night.

When I walked in the cafeteria that night, I was in awe of what this club did. It makes me appreciate living in Brick with the support that our kids get between the school staff and the Township Council. Our Challenger Program is phenomenal and what this club has been doing for this past year has only added to what is so special about living here. Thank you again, and I can tell you my daughter is already looking forward to May 2007 for the next dance!
