Police responded to the Ocean Medical Suite, C-1 on Jack Martin Boulevard at 11:38 a.m. on Dec. 15, after employees called in to report an unknown odor. The building was evacuated by fire personnel when they could not determine the source of the odor. Members of Laurelton Fire Company and the Berkeley Hazmat team responded. The building was ventilated and the scene was cleared by emergency personnel at 2:35 p.m.

Police responded to the Lone Star Steakhouse on Brick Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 16 after someone reported an electrical burning smell. The restaurant was evacuated. Fire officials located an exhaust fan on the roof, which was on fire. Police responded to another call at the restaurant at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 17, after someone reported a strong smell of smoke in the bar area. The restaurant was evacuated. Fire units from Station 21 and 22 found a fire inside the south wall of the building, behind a neon sign.

Police arrested and charged Mee Youn Chong, 60, Beachwood, with robbery, resisting arrest and shoplifting at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the Best Buy store on Chambers Bridge Road. A store employee saw her put something in her pants in a restroom and saw a power cord from an MP3 player in her handbag.

When the store manager confronted Chong and asked her “What did you put in your pants?” Chong replied “I don’t know,” struck the employee on the left shoulder and tried to walk out the back door. When police arrived, she resisted being handcuffed. Her bail was set at $10,000 with no 10 percent option.

Police arrested and charged Timothy P. Moore, 38, Arizona, at 2:10 a.m. on Dec. 21 on Jordan Road with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane and failure to dim bright lights within 500 feet.

Police arrested and charged Anthony M. Fulco, 22, Union, at 3:57 a.m. on Dec. 20 with giving a false report and false written statement after Fulco said he was carjacked while stopped at a red light on Hooper Avenue and Mantoloking Road. Fulco told police a man had knocked on the driver’s-side window, pointed a gun at him, then ordered him and his girlfriend out of the car. The girlfriend told a different story. Fulco later admitted he lied after police found the car on Valencia Drive, where it had been parked all night.

Police arrested and charged Bruce Nunziato, 47, Brick at 12:52 a.m. on Dec. 17 with driving under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane at the intersection of Drum Point Road and Baywood Boulevard.
