Douglas E. Bird Mr. Bird, 51, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, died Jan. 14, 2007, at home. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Muriel Bird. Surviving are his wife, Janine Barrow Bird; three children, Scott, Katelyn and Shawn, all at home; a brother, John Bird of Parlin; three sisters, Barbara Connolly of Loveland, Colo., Terri Bird of Hamilton and Karen Barrow of Brick; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Carlee Alyse Wines Carlee Alyse Wines, 19, of Manalapan, died Jan. 22, 2007, at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Conn. Born in Red Bank, she was a lifelong resident of Manalapan. Carlee was a freshman at Connecticut University, Storrs, Conn., majoring in prekinesiotology. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Carlee was a 2006 Manalapan High School graduate, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad; vice president of the Student Council; 2006 homecoming queen; a member of the lacrosse Team; and a member of the National Honor Society. Surviving are her father and stepmother, Stephen and Donna Gaeta Wines of Brick; her mother and stepfather, Pamela Wines and Kevin O'Sullivan of Manalapan; two brothers, Shaughn and Casey Wines; paternal grandparents, James and Maureen Wines, Robert and Gail Martin; and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Janet Pope, and Frank Gaeta and Mary O'Sullivan. A funeral Mass was offered at Holy Family Church, Union Beach, followed by interment at Holmdel Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Carlee A. Patrick Daley Patrick H. Daley, 41, of Brick, died Jan. 22, 2007, at Ocean County Medical Center at Brick. Born in Neptune, he had lived most of his life in Howell before moving to Brick 14 years ago. He was a former coach for a girls' softball league in Brick, a former member of the Howell BPO Elks, and an avid sports fan. Mr. Daley had been the circulation manager for the Asbury Park Press and the Star-Ledger, prior to becoming disabled in 2004. He was predeceased by his wife, Diana, in 2001, and his father, William, in 2006. Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Marie Daley of Brick; his mother, Joyce Daley of Freehold Township; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Timothy Daley of Freehold Township; and William and Elaine Daley of Tinton Falls; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marta and Al Schwank of Ocean Township; three sisters-in-law, Brenda, Christine and Anna; and four nephews. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.
