The program serves as an introduction to bowling and on the lanes practice. It will be conducted on Fridays, March 9 to March 30 at the Brunswick Lakewood Lanes on Route 9 and 70 in Lakewood from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The fee for each player is $10. For the fifth time in its storied history, the Brick Hockey Club is sending a team to the nationals. And for the second time in three years, the qualifier is the Midget Minors 16s AA team, which finished fifth in the nationals in 2005. More ... The last two winter sports teams from the Brick district still playing last week saw their seasons end last week in the NJSIAA Tournament. With both earning conference championships, Brick Township's boys basketball team and Brick Memorial's hockey team lost in the state tournament after both advanced beyond the opening round. More ... The Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation will be conducting golf lessons. Bring a 7 iron and 9 iron to the first class. Classroom discussion will be held on rain days in the Beach Complex Building. Lessons will be conducted Saturdays, April 7-28, at the Golf Driving Range in Ocean County Park.
