Old-fashioned tea event slated for April 29
The Brick Community Players are gearing up for a special fundraiser to help support their new theater. A "Sunday Afternoon Tea," will be held at the Brick Civic Center at 270 Chambers Bridge Road, at 3 p.m. on April 29. Ladies of all ages are invited to share an age-old tradition in a garden setting. Participants can have their photos taken in fancy accessories for a small fee. The accessories, like feather boas, hats and gloves, will be provided. A variety of traditional, herbal and decaffeinated teas, sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, Irish loaf cake and other confectionery items will be served. Children's lemonade and child-friendly sandwiches will be provided upon request. Tickets are $10 each and are limited to 100. Reservations must be made no later than April 26.
