Funtasia Festival for kids at Ocean County Park

The 13th annual Funtasia Festival for Kids, sponsored by the Ocean County Board of Freeholders, will be held July 20 at Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood. This year's theme is pirates.

The free festival, sponsored by Ocean County Parks & Recreation, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a pirate magic show, music, games, free inflatable pirate rides, strolling entertainers, a food court, Buster the Lakewood BlueClaws mascot, a dance contest, a child identification program, and carnival games conducted by area nonprofits. Activities will include stage shows and sports demonstrations. Admission to the festival is free. Last year's festival attracted more than 5,000 kids and families.
