      The Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, has announced its schedule of free events and programs for the month of July.       • July 19, 7-8 p.m., "What Is the Correct Way to Hunt a Werewolf?" - A Jeopardy-style discussion about the paranormal world, for ages 12-18.

      • July 31, Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28, 10-11:15, a.m., "1, 2, 3 Grow With Me.," for parents and children ages 1-3.

      • July 20 and 31, 7 p.m., "Mania Magic presents: 'Harry Potter's Magical Shoppe of Wonders'" for ages 5 and up - a show that is a celebration of Harry Potter's birthday.

      Coast Guard offers America's Boating course

      Division 16 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold an America's Boating Course for the New Jersey Boating License 8 a.m. July 28 at Brick Recreation Center on Chambers Bridge Road, Brick. The cost is $50 per person. Details and registration: (732) 746-3491.

      Lady Guard seeks

      new members

      The Lady Guard Auxiliary, a division of the Old Guard Auxiliary of the Point Pleasant, Brick Area, is seeking new members. The group meets the fourth Wednesday of every month, except July and August, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Old Guard Building, 170 Duchess Lane, Brick. Details: (732) 840-1870.

      Brick Knights announce upcoming trips

      The Brick Knights of Columbus Council 836 is sponsoring the following trips:

      • Sept. 4, Las Vegas for five days. Cost: $694 per person.

      • Sept. 5, Yankees vs. Seattle baseball game at Yankee Stadium, New York City. Cost of $79 per person includes dinner.

      • Nov. 17, St. Jude Healing and Oil Anointing Mass in Baltimore, plus dinner at Inner Harbor. Cost: $69.

      • Dec. 11, Radio City Christmas Show, New York City. Cost: $130 per person, includes dinner and more.
