Resident applauds work of GOP council members
Iwanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the Republican leaders who sit on the Brick Township Council. I supported and voted for them in the past and will continue [to do so] this November when I go to the voting booth. They have integrity, compassion and leadership skills that this town was sorely lacking.

Let the show begin- in a new theater!
Recently my friends and I attended the Brick Community Theater production of "The Music man" and it was awesome. Irresponsible pet owners, pet hoarders and unscrupulous breeders have set off nonstop-pet-population explosions.

Once every five years, Americans have the chance to reform the nation's agricultural policies and help the environment by rewriting the federal Farm Bill. This is one of those years, and the time has never been better to replace our outdated system with more equitable policies.

Jackson resident thanks Westlake for 9/11 service, hope
On Sept. 11 I had the opportunity to attend a 9/11 memorial service at the Westlake adult community in Jackson. They were the only ones to offer a 9/11 service in the entire Howell, Lakewood and Jackson area that I was aware of. This may not mean much to most people but to me it meant the world.
