      Midget football continues to roll in Brick
      Mustangs score a close victory over Matawan to go 2-0
            Brick Mustang Midgets scored their second straight victory in the Jersey Shore Pop Warner Football League, pulling out a 26-18 thriller over Matawan. The Midgets continued their efficient scoring from the week earlier when they rolled to a 27-0 victory over Ocean after losing their opener to Asbury Park.

            Despite a frustrating 2-1 overtime loss to Jackson, Brick Memorial girls soccer coach Bill Caruso is pleased with his team's 3-1 start. "I'm impressed with our preparation and focus," said Caruso. "Hopefully it's a sign of good leadership from our three captains (midfielder Ann McCarthy, fullback Jourdan Thompson and forward Christina Cuffari).
