'Tools for Teens' offers skills for parents, teens

To help teens and their parents through the sometimes trying and difficult teenage years, several information programs and discussions are being offered by Tools for Teens, a partnership formed by several Ocean County organizations. The Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library, 101 Washington St., is hosting the programs. The two remaining programs are:

The 6 p.m. Nov. 13 workshop entitled "When No One Understands: The Inner Life of the Adolescent" will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 and will focus on the changes and challenges associated with young adult development.

"Yes, Teens and Their Parents Are Crazy" will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 29. This program will be hosted by awardwinning author and practicing adolescent psychologist Michael Bradley, and is designed to help teens and their parents learn how to improve communication and transform family relationships. The material is presented in a dynamic and humorous way that encourages audience interaction.

Teens (ages 12 and up), interested adults, parents, educators and other youth workers are encouraged to attend. Light dinner refreshments and professional development certificates will be provided. Registration is required. Call (732) 349-6200 or www.oceancountylibrary. org.
