Medical condition suspected in crash BRICK TOWNSHIP - A medical condition may have caused the accident that took the life of a 62-year-old township man recently, police said. Frank S. Sharpe died shortly after his 1993 Mazda van struck a guardrail head-on and then a tree on Jan. 13 in the Laurel Square Shopping Plaza, police said. Sharpe was traveling east in the parking lot when the accident occurred at 8:24 a.m. He was treated by Brick Township Police EMS personnel and paramedics before he was taken to Ocean Medical Center, where he died a short time later, police said. The accident is under investigation by Sgt. Donald Ling and Patrolman Jeffrey Lindquist of the police department's traffic safety unit.
