Auditions

New Jersey Repertory Theatre will hold auditions for "Broadway Under the Stars" June 14 and 15, 7-8:30 p.m., at Crossroads South Middle School, 195 Major Road, Monmouth Junction. Actors, actresses, singers and dancers ages 8 and older are welcome. Auditioners should come prepared to sing a portion of a Broadway show tune or Disney song. Details: www.njrt.org.

Strand Theater Ensemble will hold auditions for its August youth production of "Footloose" June 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. at the Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood. Needed are youths 12-18. Strand Theater Ensemble will hold auditions for its September/October performance of "La Cage aux Folles." Auditions for men and women dancers and singers for the roles of the Cagelles will be held July 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. at the Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of an up-tempo Broadway show tune and to dance. Candidates unable to attend these auditions may contact and/or send a résumé to gloopdog@msn.com. Auditions for the remainder of the cast will be held July 29 and 30 at 7 p.m.

Phoenix Productions will host open auditions for "The Sound of Music" July 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Von Trapp children only; and July 17 and 18, 6 p.m. for children, and 7-9 p.m. for adults, at the Phoenix Studio Theatre, 111 Monmouth St., Red Bank. All parts are open. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars and must have sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Auditioners should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to dance.
