• A blood drive will be conducted by New Jersey Blood Services, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 28 at Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Donors must be at least age 17, in good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. Donors will receive two free tickets to a New York Mets game and free cholesterol screening. The free event, sponsored by Meridian Health, will offer screenings in blood pressure, cholesterol, body composition, bone density, cardiology, oncology and orthopedics. • A car wash fundraiser for the Brick Memorial Marching Mustangs will be held Aug. 11, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Chevy's Fresh Mex in Brick Plaza, Route 70 and Cedar Bridge Avenue, Brick.
