Brick American Legion 4th annual Poker Run

The Brick American Legion Riders Fourth Annual Poker Run to benefit Brick Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 20 will take place Aug. 19, rain or shine. The riders will be comprised of post auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion (SAL) members of Brick American Legion 348. Registration will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Lakewood American Legion on Route 9 in Lakewood. Tickets will be available in advance for $15 for each rider and passenger and $20 at the door. The run will take approximately 90 minutes ending at the Brick American Legion Post 348 on Mantoloking Road where there will be food, refreshments, vendors and prizes. Details: (732) 477-2160.

Save Barnegat Bay gift auction fundraiser

Save Barnegat Bay will hold its fifth annual silent art and gift auction Sept. 26 at Crystal Point Yacht Club on the Manasquan River in Point Pleasant. The event will be open to all members of the community.

Save Barnegat Bay is a not-for-profit environmental organization working locally to conserve undeveloped natural land and clean water throughout the Barnegat Bay watershed. The organization always needs support in order to continue to preserve the natural beauty of the New Jersey shore.

Donations are currently being accepted for inclusion in the auction. The names of businesses that donate will be displayed during bidding and will also be read aloud when that prize is awarded. Journal ads are also being sold.
