Donations urgently needed in blood supply

New Jersey Blood Services has issued a critical need for blood as donations have dropped by over 15 percent from one year ago. They will be conducting blood drives at the following locations:

Jenkinson's Boardwalk, 300 Ocean Ave., Point Pleasant, from 2-7 p.m. on Dec. 21.

Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave., Toms River, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 30.

Qualified donors should be 17 years of age or older, weigh 110 pounds and be in generally good health. Donors must present a photo or signed identification and know their Social Security number.
