      School board member explains budget dilemma
            The Brick school district is clearly suffering the cumulative effects of years of underfunding by the state ofNewJersey, the imposition of a four percent cap on our budget, a new funding formula that penalizes our children and taxpayers, as well as declining enrollment.

      School board had no choice but to close the PLC
            I want to say that I understand what the Board of Education is trying to do. I understand the necessity of closing the Primary Learning Center and Laurelton School.

      Time for some new faces on Board of Education
            The governor of the state wants to decrease spending and now I think it is time for Brick schools to do the same. They are threatening to close schools here but are doing nothing to cut costs. Our test scores are down and now the children have the option to switch schools so they can achieve better scores.
