Who is really profiting from oil prices?

According to records, crude oil consumption needs that this country imports from the Middle East are 23 percent, with 30 percent coming from other sources outside the U.S.

Therefore, 47 percent of our oil needs come from our own wells and 24 percent of that comes from federal lands.

Why then, when Middle East suppliers raise their price do the other nations and our own producers have to raise their prices as well?

Could it be that President Bush and his Republican friends are making billions of dollars of profit and are the cause for our country's financial problems?
