      Luncheon to benefit teen car-crash victim
            On Nov. 3, 2006, Leslie had her life change forever. She was in a car accident that left her seriously injured. This was just the beginning of a long road for her. She had to undergo many surgeries.

      BCCT to hold auditions for 'Godspell' May 3, 4
            The Brick Children's Community Theatre (BCCT) will hold auditions for a performance of "Godspell" on May 3 and 4 at the Civic Center, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick. Children ages 8-12 will audition at 1:30 p.m.

      Career-related summer camps at OCVTS
            Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS) will be holding career-related summer camps. Registration is now open. The Culinary Arts Camp will be held 8 a.m. to noon July 7-11 at the OCVTS Brick Center, 350 Chambers Bridge Road. The camp will focus on methods and techniques of meal planning, food preparation, cooking and safe knife handling.

      Season beach badges, parking permits on sale
            The Brick Township Recreation Department has announced that season beach badges and season parking permits for summer 2008 are now on sale in the Brick Recreation Department. The price for season badges is $25 if purchased prior to June 15. After that date, the price increases to $30 for season badges.

      'Junk in the Trunk' garage sale to be held
            The Mothers Center of the Jersey Shore (MCCJS) will hold a "Junk in the Trunk" garage sale and vendor fair from 8 a.m. to noon on June 7 in the parking lot at Brick Memorial High School, 2001 LanesMill Road, Brick.Adonation will be made from the proceeds to Dottie's House.

      Golfers, sponsors needed for July 28 golf tourney
            The Brick Municipal Alliance Committee on Alcoholism, Drug Abuse and Youth Services (B-MAC) will host its seventh annual Golf Tournament on July 28 at the Eagle Ridge Country Club, Lakewood. The tournament begins with registration and breakfast at 7 a.m., shotgun start at 8 a.m. and a barbecue luncheon with prizes awarded at 1 p.m.

      Rotary Club to sponsor car show on May 31
            The Brick Morning Rotary Club is sponsoring its second annual car show from noon to 5 p.m. May 31 at Windward Beach, Princeton Ave., Brick. The cost to preregister to display a car is $12 and $15 the day of the event. Over 50 trophies will be awarded.

      Cruise to benefit Jersey Shore Animal Center
            Relax and cruise to Bermuda while supporting the animals at the Jersey Shore Animal Center. Norwegian Cruise Line's Dawn will sail from New York for a sevenday cruise on June 29 to Bermuda for three full days. Prices per person double occupancy start at $1,322, with third and fourth person in the cabin starting at $672. Insurance is optional and is not included.

      Animal center Dog Walk to be held May 10
            The seventh annual Dog Walk benefiting the homeless animals at the Jersey Shore Animal Center will be held from noon to 3 p.m. May 10 at the Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood. The rain date will be May 17. Water stations will be available for humans and canines along the trail. Pets must be licensed, have up-to-date vaccinations and be leashed at all times.

      Boot Camp, Pilates programs to be offered
            The Brick Recreation Department has teamed up with local instructors to offer a series of fitness classes for adults. The classes will be held at Windward Beach, Princeton Avenue, beginning in May. Four sessions of Fitness Boot Camp will begin May 2. Each session will be four weeks long with classes meeting three times per week for an hour.

      BMAC to hold closing celebration for walk
            "Brick Circles the Globe Final Mile" will hold its closing celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26 at the Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick. After a final mile walk around the trail, the total number of miles walked by the citizens of Brick Township will be calculated.

            The Brick Youth Club (BYC) will have a free showing of the movie "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" at 6:45 p.m. May 2 at the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road. Popcorn and beverages will be provided to all children in attendance.

      Golf classic May 19 will benefit Dottie's House
            Friends of Dottie's House invite the public to attend its ninth annual Golf Classic May 19 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. Proceeds from the event will benefit Dottie's House, a transitional housing facility designed to aid women and children who have survived domestic violence. Last year's golf classic raised $102,000.
