BCCT to hold auditions for 'Godspell' May 3, 4
      The Brick Children's Community Theatre (BCCT) will hold auditions for a performance of "Godspell" on May 3 and 4 at the Civic Center, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick. Children ages 8-12 will audition at 1:30 p.m. and will be taught a song and should be prepared to dance. Those age 13 and over will audition at 4 p.m. and should come with a prepared song.

June 6 food-tasting festival to raise funds
      The 16th annual "LookWho's Cooking" food-tasting festival will take place 6-8 p.m. June 6 at Christ Episcopal Church, Washington Street, Toms River. Tickets cost $45 and can be purchased at the door. "Look Who's Cooking" is a major fundraiser and a necessity to continue helping uninsured and underinsured women in Ocean County at the Family Planning Center, Lakewood.

Animal center Dog Walk to be held May 10
      The seventh annual Dog Walk benefiting the homeless animals at the Jersey Shore Animal Center will be held from noon to 3 p.m. May 10 at the Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood. The rain date will be May 17. Water stations will be available for humans and canines along the trail. Pets must be licensed, have up-to-date vaccinations and be leashed at all times.

Cruise to benefit Jersey Shore Animal Center
      Relax and cruise to Bermuda while supporting the animals at the Jersey Shore Animal Center.       The Brick Township Recreation Department has announced that season beach badges and season parking permits for summer 2008 are now on sale in the Brick Recreation Department. The price for season badges is $25 if purchased prior to June 15. After that date, the price increases to $30 for season badges.

Ireland tour sponsored by Ocean County College
      Ocean County College (OCC) will sponsor an Ireland tour from June 22 to July 2. It is open to all members of the community. The tour includes transport by luxury motor coach with a driver/guide for 10 days. Hotel accommodations include private bath for nine nights. Scheduled meals include nine full breakfasts and seven dinners.

Football memorial scholarship to be awarded
      The Brick Township Junior Sports League will once again award The Anthony F. Mancino Memorial Scholarships to eligible Brick Township High School football players who will graduate in 2008, based upon academics and need. Tony Mancino was a football player on three Brick Township High School state championship teams in the 1960s.
