Football memorial scholarship to be awarded

The Brick Township Junior Sports League will once again award The Anthony F. Mancino Memorial Scholarships to eligible Brick Township High School football players who will graduate in 2008, based upon academics and need.

Tony Mancino was a football player on three Brick Township High School state championship teams in the 1960s. He was an avid Brick High School football sponsor and supporter and dedicated most of his life to youth sports in Brick, especially baseball and football.

Applications are available at the Brick Township High School guidance office and are due by April 1.

All senior football players planning to attend college should apply, because more than one scholarship will be awarded.
