      Marching Mustangs to host golf outing May 31
            The Brick Township Memorial High School Marching Mustangs will host its 2008 golf outing on May 31 at the Sea Oaks Country Club, 99 Golf View Drive, Little Egg Harbor.       Middle school to hold flea market for Relay for Life
            The Lake Riviera Middle School, 171 Beaverson Blvd., Brick, will sponsor a flea market for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 in the school's parking lot.       N.J. Blood Services to hold blood drive May 24
            New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS), a division of New York Blood Center, will conduct a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 24 at the Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave., Toms River. NJBS has issued a critical need for blood as area hospitals are operating at a 15 percent deficit in their blood supply.

            The Ocean County Library has recently added a database specifically designed for the unique health concerns of teens to its roster of free products that are available online. The "Teen Health & Wellness: Real Life, Real Answers" database was developed last year by Rosen Publishing, a leader in the educational publishing industry since it was founded in 1950.

      Friends of Dottie's House to host golf outing
            Friends of Dottie's House, Brick, is holding its ninth annual golf classic on May 19 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood. Dottie's House is a transitional housing facility aiding women and children who have survived domestic violence. The facility, located in a confidential location in Ocean County. offers services to 17 families.

      Master plan meeting to be held May 21
            Mayor Stephen C. Acropolis and the Brick Township Council have announced that the departments of Parks and Recreation and Land Use and Community Development, along the T&MAssociates will host a public meeting to discuss the township's master plan for parks and recreation, which is currently under development. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m.

      Brick Township Police Dept. Drug Hotline
            The Brick Township Police Department provides a "Drug Hotline" for citizens to report drug-related activity. The hotline was established as a means of providing the public with the opportunity to anonymously report drug activities in their neighborhood. It is answered and monitored by detectives assigned to the Drug Enforcement Unit. Messages are checked on a daily basis.

      Cruise to benefit Jersey Shore Animal Center
