      Members of Brick Morning Rotary work honored

      Three members of the Brick Morning Rotary were honored for exceptional work performed at the district level at the April 12 Rotary District 7500 conference held in Hershey, Pa.

      PatriciaWallace, president of the Brick Morning Club, was honored with her husband, GregWallace, president of the Toms River Evening Club, with the N. William Skidmore Club Service award for their efforts in the Gift of Life program. Gift of Life brings children to the United States to receive lifesaving heart operations and funds pediatric heart-surgery programs in foreign countries.

      Arlene Schwartz received the Service Above Self award for her work as secretary of the Gift of Life program and for coordinating the activities and housing needs of incoming group study teams. The group study teams program, sponsored by Rotary Clubs, provides those ages 25-40 to visit countries throughout the world for one month.

      Donald Cooper received a service recognition award for serving as sergeant at arms over the last 36 years at various Rotary conferences both locally and internationally.
