Dottie's House golf event raises over $87,000

Dottie's House hosted its ninth annual golf classic on May 19 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, raising over $87,000 for Dottie's House, a longterm transitional housing facility for women and children who have survived domestic violence.

Carol Wolfe, executive director and vice president of the organization, noted that this year's event has proven the most successful to date, with the attendance of 141 golfers. Wolfe gave special credit to the host committee, co-chaired by Mark Wintjen and Domenick Servodio and the board members of Dottie's House and Friends of Dottie's House.

Next year, the golf course will be expanded with nine additional holes. For more information about Dottie's House, call 732-295-7380.
