      Reader reflects on loss of Ocean Ice Palace property
            There is an old physics law that states, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." This might best be applied to the loss of Brick acquiring the purchase of the ice rink.

      SOS group is definitely political, reader says
            Once again, the Brick Township Democrats have put politics and party before community, and this time it is very likely that they are going to cost us a community center. The group that is collecting signatures to put the community center plans on the ballot claims they are nonpartisan. Nothing could be further from the truth.

      Referendum would have been exercise in democracy
            Isupport the referendum for the purchase/ non-purchase of the Ocean Ice Palace. Brick taxpayers deserve a voice on the spending of our tax dollars on all nonemergency projects. I see nothing wrong in informing voters and allowing us a choice at the polls every time.

      Resident upset over illegal neighborhood dumping
            Ihave been a resident of Brick Township for 10 years. My husband and I purchased a lovely home in a nice neighborhood off of Jack Martin Boulevard. We are the last house on one of many dead-end streets in the development. We were thrilled at the prospect of such a safe environment for our two young children.
