Charles A. Welsh Jr.
      Mr. Welsh, 96, died June 23, 2008, at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Menlo Park. He was born in Somerset, Pa. He began a journalism career in 1929 and joined the Associated Press in Philadelphia in 1942 and retired from the AP Central Desk in New York City in 1977.       Mrs. Eckhoff, 78, of Middletown, died July 6, 2008, at home. She was a former transportation coordinator at Pleasant Valley Adult Day Care, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband, George L. Eckhoff; a brother, Michael Evanko; a sister, Anna Schlingloff; and a great-grandson, Devon Eckhoff.

Catherine B. Flood
      Mrs. Flood, 80, of Keansburg, died June 29, 2008, at Shorrock Gardens Care Center, Brick. She was born in New York and had been a compounder for Charles of the Ritz, Holmdel, for 30 years, retiring in 1995. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Flood and a brother, George Bottine. Surviving are her daughters, Lori Turczynski, Elizabeth, Jan Flood, Stanton, Vt.
