James F. Nicora Sr.

Mr. Nicora, 62, of Matawan, died July 30, 2008, at home. He was a truck and heavy equipment operator and dispatcher at Stavola Contracting Co., Tinton Falls, and owned and operated Janic Trucking Inc., Matawan. He was predeceased by a grandson, Cory Snyder, in 2007. He is survived by his wife, Lois Wilson Nicora; five children and their spouses, Dawn Nicora and husband James Snyder of Matawan, Carol Tanchak of Middletown, Bernadette and Martin Fitzpatrick of Middletown, James F. and Susan Nicora Jr. of Jackson, and Andres Nicora of Brick; a sister, Rosemarie Perkins-Barbieri of Coconut Creek, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Entombment was at the church's mausoleum. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
