Bible quotes don't belong in letters to the editor Congratulations to Michael G. Crelin Sr. You hit the nail on the head. Your ideas are fantastic and need to be implemented, but I doubt our mayor and his cronies will even listen. Super cheers to Ed Ahern, Joan R. Smith and Frederick J. Underwood for your letters. Right on! All of you could not have stated your opinions better. As for Mr. Sholty, your misspelling of my name means nothing to me, other than proving that you can read but do not comprehend. So much of [what] you write about is most likely incorrect and/or exaggerated. In regard to your comment referring to me as a possible atheist — how dare you! Although my religious preference is none of your business, I will state that I am a devout Christian who does take offense to your holier-than-thou attitude. Does quoting the Bible to chastise someone make you feel better? Bible quoting does not make you a more religious person or make your letters to the editor more sincere, honest or believable. Our Lord should not be involved in these letters to the editor. If you were so religious, as you would like us all to believe, then whey do you stoop so low with your derogatory comments? May God forgive you for all you have said and done out of misplaced anger. I do not fear you or feel threatened by you, as you are of me, because God is my co-pilot. As an EMT, God is always with me when it comes time to help our citizens in their time of need. Chorus girl? Please stop fantasizing and get a life. Maybe you need to do some volunteer work. You have too much time on your hands. In regard to your obsession with my being a man or woman, it should not matter. All in all, you sound like a very lonely, insecure and chauvinistic curmudgeon. You must work for the airlines since you're always pushing good citizens to take a flight out of this wonderful country. You have no right to judge another person's patriotism. Maybe you need to go elsewhere with your archaic views. As you pray for me, I will pray for your poor wife if you are married, and if you are not, it is understandable. Please do not address me anymore in your letters. It is obvious that you are a very angry, opinionated and lonely person and I prefer not to have any more interaction with you.
Besides, we are taking up too much space in this excellent newspaper for derogatory statements. If you want to meet me in person, I would be more than happy to do so … just bring the boxing gloves. |
