Brick VFW will host picnic for Labor Day

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8867, Brick, will host a Labor Day picnic from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 31 at the post's picnic grove at 373 Adamston Road, Brick. All proceeds will directly benefit military veterans and their families. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate, $12 for ages 11-18, and free for children under age 10. The picnic will include clams, sausage, peppers and onions, hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecued chicken, corn, watermelon, desserts, salads and refreshments. Live dance music will be provided by Donny Pesce from noon to 5 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, and other raffles, a "kidzone," horseshoe games and golf. Details and tickets: 732-477-8730.
